Sophora prostrata is commonly known as kōwhai, prostrate kōwhai or dwarf kōwhai, evergreen shrub native to New Zealand which has attractive zigzagging growth.
In the growing season keep the plant moist but not saturated. While the plant is dormant, water it very little, cannot tolerate frost. It may loose leaves in the winter when there is less light, which will grow again in the spring months
